Ernest J. Sardella (62) of Ashtabula, died Sunday, November 13, 2016, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Ashtabula on April 26, 1954, to James and Edith (Brunacci) Sardella. Ernest graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1972 and went on to get his electrician's and HVAC licenses. He worked for Rockwell Plastics, Vygen, HAVE Heating, Ziegler Heating, and recently retired from the Conneaut Dock. Ernest enjoyed woodworking, flying model airplanes, target shooting, and spending time with his grandchildren. He belonged to the Ashtabula Rod and Gun Club and was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish. Survivors include his sons Steven (Lynn) and Ryan (Michelle) Sardella, his grandchildren Nicholas and Avaya Sardella, and siblings Mary Brown, Marlene Moosa, and James Sardella. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents James and Edith Sardella.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday Nov. 19 at 11:00 in Our Lady of Peace Parish , St. Joseph Church with Father David Bridling officiating , burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.
