Dennis (Denny) K. Hines II (51) of Ashtabula passed away on Saturday, December 9th 2023 as a result of his injuries from an accident while working in Pennsylvania. This tragedy has left Denny's family and friends with a void in their hearts and memories of a life well lived. Denny was a father, brother, son, and friend to so many.

Born Nov. 22, 1972 in Madison Ohio he is the son of Dennis and Linda (DeGeorge) Hines. Dennis graduated from Geneva High School class of 1991, however, he spent the majority of his youth growing up in Allen, Texas and attended Allen High School. He was currently employed as a construction superintendent for the R Crawford Company of Sarasota Fla. He was also a union carpenter. His interests include fishing, boating, golf, playing guitar and drums, and riding motorcycles.

As a young boy, Denny developed his talents for construction as he would help his dad and grandfather with any project he could. This passion would eventually lead to Denny surpassing the talents of his teachers and becoming a Master Carpenter. Denny's influence on construction and carpentry spans across the country as he has worked in dozens of states on various residential and commercial structures as well as bridges and roadways. However, Denny took the most pride in the work he could do for his family, such as the numerous projects he completed for his grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and parents. The family always knew if they wanted perfection, they would call in Denny. Beyond Denny's passion for carpentry was his passion for music and companionship. Following in the footsteps of his grandfathers, Denny was a drummer and guitarist. He was also known for the occasional rendition of Hotel California on the vocals. As a motorcycle enthusiast, Denny could often be found riding around Ashtabula County with his father on their identical copper colored Harley Davidsons. They enjoyed each other and the company of a lifetime of friends who knew Denny's joyous laugh and laid- back personality. Denny's children, Case and Katelyn have lost their father and biggest champion. Denny has many talents and professional accomplishments, however, his love for his kids trumped them all. Case has learned from his father the trades and Katelyn has become a strong young woman with her dad raising her to adulthood. Denny will forever be watching over Case and Katelyn. Survivors include his son Dennis (Case) C. Hines, daughter Katelyn Hines, parents Dennis and Linda Hines, sister Kerry Hines (Mark Ozzello) and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Edda DeGeorge and Philip and Elizabeth Hines.
