Dean R. Meola, 72, of Ashtabula, OH, passed away on August 17, 2024 at Hillcrest Hospital.

Dean was born September 10, 1951 in Ashtabula, OH the son of Ralph and Genevieve (DiMare) Meola.

Dean attended Harbor High School and remained an avid Harbor High football fan, never missing a game; followed by a successful career of 30 years with the City of Ashtabula, first in Sanitation and then working his way up to the Public Works Department until his retirement in 2000.

Dean especially loved fishing, sports, his community, and helping out anyone in need without hesitation.

Dean is survived by his sister, Gina (Meola) Wentz; niece, Caitlyn (Wentz) Beardsley; and several aunts and cousins.

Preceding Dean in death are his parents, Ralph and Genevieve Meola.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. and Memorial Mass services to immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at Guerriero Funeral Home.
