Carmella Rung (89) of Ashtabula passed on Oct. 21, 2022 at the Anthology of Mayfield Heights.

Born July 23, 1933 in Ashtabula she was the daughter of Sam and Lucy (Rocco) Ferranti.

Carmella graduated from Ashtabula High School and was a lifelong resident of Ashtabula, the owner of several small businesses including, Carms Cache and All Ashtabula Sewer and Septic.

She enjoyed making jewelry, cooking and baking.

Survivors include her daughter Debra (Thom) Henretta, son Clayton D. (Jan) Rung, sister Kathy Dietz, brothers Warren Sams, and Charles Sams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clayton W. Rung, grandson Dustin Lamperth, sister Linda Dennis, and brother John Ferrando.

Memorial service will be on Monday Nov. 7 at 1P.M. in Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. with Father Raymond Thomas of Our Lady of Peace officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11:30 to 1 P.M.
