Carmel Marie Potter (92) of Ashtabula passed on Dec. 28, 2020 at the Saybrook Landing.

Born Oct. 2, 1928 in Ashtabula she was the daughter of Ralph and Florence (Rocco) Valleriano.

Carmel married Raymond Potter in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and has been a long time member of Our Lady of Peace. She is retired from the Star Beacon in the circulation dept.

Survivors include her daughter Joanne Hackathorn  , son Richard (Joy) Potter , grandchildren Joseph Hackathorn , Kelly (Steve) Tackett , Laura (Scott) Carpenter , and Jennifer (Daniel) Stockman.

She was preceded in death by her parents , husband Raymond Potter , and brother Anthony Valleriano.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday Jan. 2 at 11:30 A.M. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Saturday at the church from 10:30 till 11:30. Condolences can be made at guerrierofuneralhome.com
