Bertha (Berti) Jane Rodgers passed away on Tuesday November 12th 2019 at her home surrounded by her family, at the age of 76. Berti was born February 11th 1943 to parents Mabel (Addicott) and Carlos Alton Rodgers of Jefferson, Ohio.

She graduated from Kent State University in 1975 with a Associates Degree in Nursing. Berti was an RN CCDC3 Psych Nurse and Chemical Dependency Counselor at Glenbeigh Hospital in Rock Creek and retired in 2012. Berti helped many in Recovery and the AA Program for over 35 years.

Her passions include rose gardening where she spent time in nature and caring for the many critters that visited her yard, she found joy in rescued raccoons and fed the squirrels and birds. Berti loved yard sales, quilting, craft shows and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Walter. She will be greatly missed by her children, son Jeffrey (Sandy) Yoak and daughter Shari Lynn of Ashtabula. She left 7 grandchildren (Stephanie, Morgan, Andy, Paul, Katie, Will & Emily) 5 great-grandchildren (Michael, Alex, Deklan, Sammy & Kaydence) and many other loving family members.

Funeral Service will be on Monday at 12:30 P.M. in Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. in Ashtabula, with burial to follow in Oakdale Cemetery Jefferson. Visitation will be on Sunday Nov. 17 at the funeral home from 5 tot 7 P.M.. condolences can be made at guerrierofuneralhome.com
