Anthony P. Tulino Jr. (75) of Ashtabula died on Saturday morning with his family by his side at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. Anthony graduated from St. John High School class of 1959, and on July 13, 1968 he married the former Sandra Painter in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Ashtabula. Mr. Tulino was retired from the City of Ashtabula as a foreman in the Public Works Dept. after serving for 30 years. Prior to the city, he worked at Maxwell Industries. Tony was a long-time Ohio High School Athletic official certified in softball, baseball, and basketball. He was President of the Northeastern Ohio Umpires Association, an active member of the Ashtabula Little League for over 50 years, and is currently the Ohio District One Little League Administrator. He umpired the Senior League Baseball World Series in 1978 (Gary, IN), as well as the Little League World Series in 1983 (Williamsport, PA). Tony was also an active member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, serving as an usher at the 8 A.M. mass for many years. Above all, he loved and cherished his wife, children, and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Sandra Tulino of Ashtabula; sons Anthony P. (Kelly Fortune) Tulino III of Ashtabula, Terrence D. (Corby) Tulino of Ashtabula, Todd C. (Jennifer) Tulino of Ashtabula, Troy J. (Heather) Tulino of Ashtabula, Timmy S. (Desiree Acevedo) Tulino of Toledo, OH; grandchildren Robert T. Laughlin, Alex Tulino, Jimmy Rich, Josh Maker, Tanner Tulino, Adam Liuzzo, Tyler Liuzzo, Danny Hare, Lauren Halford, Bella Tulino, Sadie Tulino, Tyler Tulino, Taden Tulino, Natasha Acevedo, Alyce Acevedo; brother Richard (Beth) Tulino of Ashtabula; sisters Rose Marie Luoma, Patty Karbacka, and Mary Ann Alleman, all of Ashtabula; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Peace Parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church with Father Raymond Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
