Anne F. Ray ObituaryBeloved Mother and Grandmother, Anne F. Ray, age 96, completed her final journey at home, surrounded by her family and covered in prayer. She joined her Father in heaven on Tuesday, August 3, 2026. Anne was born on October 18, 1929 in Cleveland Ohio. The daughter of the late Elsa Kulow and William Frieden. She graduated in 1948 from Collingwood High School in Cleveland Ohio. She married Cosmos D. Ray on September 10, 1949 and they had nine children. She was proud to say that eight of her children attended Mt. Carmel School and St. John’s High School. She never missed any of her children’s school music performances. She worked together with her husband as a licensed Insurance Agent. She was very active in many organizations which include, The Anita Garibaldi Lodge, Catholic Daughters, Altar & Rosary Society, Our Lady of Peace Choir, a Hospital Volunteer, a Board of Elections Precinct Election Official, Member of the Senior Center and Happy Travelers, and a Catholic Education Teacher. She was also very active in attending Our Lady of Peace events and Masses. She loved going to different “doings” with family and friends. Her husband called her “wheels” since she was always on the road. She traveled to many many locations mostly with her primary care taker, daughter Kathy. They had traveled outside of the United States to Italy and Germany. Been to Arizona, New York, and Branson Missouri to see many shows. They also had a very long bus trip traveling along the Highway of Route 66 from Chicago Illinois to Santa Monica California. They even were on the Lets Make a Deal Show while in California. They were snow birds for several years. First spending time in Tucson Arizona with her friends Ida Laurello and Rita Gillan. Recent years they were snow birds in Cocoa Beach Florida along with her “Sister”, Vernie Capitena. She is survived by her children Irene Lane, Steven Ray, Kathleen Ray, Cosmos Ray Jr (Priscilla), Christina (Bill) Zetlaw, Daniel (Carol) Ray, Nicholas (Dana) Ray. She had 21 Grandchildren, 37 Great Grandchildren and 11 Great Great Grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her husband Cosmos Ray, Parents Elsa Kulow and William Frieden. Son James Ray daughter Debra Ray, Grandchildren Debra Hodginson, James Ray, Seana Warta-Ray and son in law Richard Lane.Services will be held at Guerriero Funeral Services. Calling hours will be Friday August 7, 2026 from 1:00pm-3:00pm and 5:00pm-7:00pm. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Peace (Mt. Carmel) on August 8, 2026 at 10:30am.
