Ralph Carmen DeGennaro (86) of Ashtabula passed away on Nov. 16, 2019 at the Country Club Retirement Center.
Born September 22, 1933 in Ashtabula he was the son of Ralph and Lena (Merlene) DeGennaro.
Mr. DeGennaro graduates from Ashtabula High School Class of 51. He attended Kent State University. He worked at Union Carbine, railroad, and City of Ashtabula, until making a career in the United States Postal Service as a Postal Clerk for 27 years until his retirement in 1993.
Ralph loved to bowl, enjoyed watching sports and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed on of his favorite hobbies The Ohio Lottery. He was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and the Young Men’s Social Club.
Ralph will be deeply missed by his son Christopher R. DeGennaro, daughters Gina M. DeGennaro, Sherri L. DeGennaro, grandchildren Alexa Hoyle and Frank Hoyle.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Ralph A. DeGennaro, brother Anthony DeGennaro and his beloved dogs Missy and Barney.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday Nov. 20 at 11:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Peace Parish, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5 to 7 P.M. in Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. in Ashtabula. Condolences can be made at guerrierofuneralhome.com
