Darlene (Darlene Sheffey) McClain

 Darlene McClain (55) of Ashtabula, died  unexpectedly on November 2, 2018 in Ashtabula.

Born October 17, 1963 in Ashtabula she was the daughter of William and Henrietta (Fuller) Sheffey and she remained a a resident her entire life

Darlene attended Ashtabula High School and Jesus Only Pentecostal Church as a child and young adult. She knew and loved the Lord.  Darlene was valuable and dedicated to her family.  She loved her children and adored her grandchildren.  It was always a joy for her when she was hosting a holiday dinner or a barbeque. Darlene enjoyed gardening , decorating her home , shopping, and playing Scramble.  She would make sure to tune in weekly to watch  her favorite shows Empire and the Soprano's . Darlene will be remembered for her generousity and the love she showed toward her family and friends.

Survivors include her son Tyrone West of Akron, daughter Chantel West of Ashtabula, grandchildren Cristen "Buttercup" Taylor Jr. and Isabella "Bella Babes" Taylor,

sisters Deborah Waites, Elector Jean Sheffey ,  brother Michael Sheffey, half brothers Rusell and Rick Mondine . Several nieces , nephews and cousins , Aunt Sally Leggions "Bunny" and Uncle Art Sheffey . and her companion and best friend of 8 years Gary Greene.

Preceded by her parents , sister Leanne Sheffey , brothers Raymond Sheffey , William H. Sheffey Jr. , half sister Beverly Mondine.

 Funeral service will be on Friday Nov. 9 at 11:30 A.M. in Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. in Ashtabula, with Rev. Dr. German Womack Jr. officiating. Visitation will be on Friday morning at the funeral home from 9:30 to 11:30; submitted by the family
