Antoinette J. (Sposito) Sabatine

Antoinette J. Sabatine (82) passed away with her family at her side on Sunday morning, December 31, 2017 at Ashtabula County Medical Center after a courageous year-long battle with cancer.  

Born April 6, 1935 in Ashtabula, Ohio, she was the daughter of William and Carmel (Carlo) Sposito. Antoinette was a 1953 graduate of Ashtabula High School and attended Kent State University. She retired from ACMC as a Supervisor in Materials Management.

On June 28, 1958, she married the love of her life Joe at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Ashtabula. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid Cleveland sports fan, enjoyed going to eat with her “club”, and trips to the casino. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Joe, sister Mary Holmstrom, daughter Chris Ann (Mark) Severino, son Joseph (Debbie) Sabatine, grandchildren Brooke, Corey, Trevor, Destiny, Mark, Kyler, and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lillian (Giangola), brothers Donald, Louis, and Frank, and her son-in-law Wayne Herpy.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 4th at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Parish, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with burial to follow in St. Joseph cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Guerriero Funeral Home, 1550 West 19th St. in Ashtabula.
