Albert Riesterer

Albert Riesterer, 89 years old passed away on November 8, 2017. Albert was born in Dunkirk, N.Y. on September 14, 1928. His mother was Irma Carstens and father Albert Riesterer. He served his country in the army during the Korean war. He married his wife Theresa Dolce on February 23, 1957. Albert started his carrier as a welder with the New York Central  railroad and retired from Conrail Railroad at the age of 65. His hobbies included golf, having a few beers with the crew at East Ashtabula Club and spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Albert is survived by his wife of 60 years, Theresa Riesterer. Four children, Tina Rogan (john), Karen Miller, Tami Allen (kasey) and Albert Riesterer Jr. (kathy) his eight grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren who knew him as “pops”. Albert was looked up to by many and known as the life of the party, always positive and showering people with love as well as beer. Pops was a member of the East Ashtabula Club for many, many years and made sure each child and grandchild went to the EAC to understand why this was his happy place. Albert will always be remembered as the amazing and loving father, grandfather and husband most people aspire to be. .....

Funeral Service will be on Saturday Nov. 11 at 2 P.M. at Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th St. in Ashtabula.  Military honors will be performed. Visitation will be on Saturday from Noon till 2 at the funeral home. Condolences can be made at guerrierofuneralhome.com
